Hello from the Guild Leadership and, welcome to Equites Veritatis!
As a member of EqV, you will be expected to follow certain guidelines both in-game and on these forums. Below are the rules for our members and officers, as well as the forum rules.
MISSION STATEMENT[/u]
Equites Veritatis [EqV]- The Knights of Truth
Founded on January 24, 2007 by two Guild Wars players you know as Ellinia Bera and Lena Trivoli. Both players were relatively new to the game at this time but started a guild where they believed everybody could be welcome and where a bond could be formed between members. Equites Veritatis was formed because it was believed many guilds lacked a strong bond. Equites Veritatis was formed to create a powerful, yet not power-hungry guild for both casual and hardcore players; both experienced and new players. Equites Veritatis welcomes you.
IN-GAME RULES[/i]
1) All EqV members are expected to respect their fellow members.
2) EqV is a brotherhood/sisterhood. Every member is expected to do whatever is in their power to lend their fellow guild members a hand; be it in quests, financially, by offering tips, or just by being friendly to one another.
3) Officers are expected to recruit. Recruiting is not required but highly encouraged unless stated otherwise.
4) As a member (or officer) it is highly encouraged to answer the guild's call when needed. This is seen mainly in two forms:
5) Members may leave the guild at any time however, know that if you want to re-join, you will likely be denied.
6) If a member or officer has not logged in for 31 days, the member may be kicked from the guild. If you know you are going to be absent for 31 days or longer, let the leadership know as soon as possible.
7) If a member of EqV is not fulfilling their duties and/or is acting without virtue, they may be kicked. However, members/officers kicked for these reasons are only kicked after a vote of officers is taken. The guild leader cannot vote for a ban but can raise a vote for consideration by officers or vote in the event of a tie.
8) New officers can only be appointed by the leader. The leader will make all new officer appointments unless a majority of officers vote for a member to be promoted. If you want to promote someone to officer or want to be an officer, ask the leader first. If the leader rejects the offer, a vote of officers will be taken if the member wants an appeal. Members can elect one member per month as an offcer however, they must be confirmed by a majority vote of officers.
9) Votes for consideration will be posted on the forums. Everyone is encouraged to stay active in the forums.
10) These rules may be amended accordingly; be it by consensus of the officers or if the leader deems it necessary
FORUM RULES
1) Members are expected to follow the in-game guidelines for virtue; again, EqV is a brother/sisterhood.
2) In-game officers will be moderators for the forums.
3) In addition to the leader, one officer will be an admin.
4) Profanity is not allowed
5) There are no are no activity requirements or inactivity constraints for the message boards, however all members are encouraged to remain active and promote our message boards within the guild
6) Non-guild members are allowed to be members of, and post in the EqV forums.
7) These rules may be amended at any time either by a consensus of guild officers or if the guild leader deems it necessary.
8) If an officer in-game leaves the guild they will lose officer privileges on the forums but are still allowed to retain forum memberships. If an officer in-game is demoted, they will also be demoted on the forums.
Post questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions about the rules here
Anyway, that about sums it up. I think most everything else is in the realm of common sense. But remember, above all HAVE FUN!

a) The guild may need to raise money to keep it strong. When it is announced that the guild is fundraising, please donate to a guild officer. As an officer, any money given by fellow members is for the guild's use only, promptly trade the money to the guild leader. Please note that all monies raised by members are put into storage and reserved only for the guild, no personal profit is made by the guild leader.
b) The guild will be active in GvG and PvP combat. If needed, do whatever is within your power to fight for the guild.
